A scrappy technology start up client, Salient Stills software was created at the MIT Media Lab and developed by a core team of engineers without consideration of branding or audience.
Stepping in as creative resource, I positioned, creative directed and wrote all content and communications that would not only put Salient Stills on the map but enable them, with a skeleton staff and no marketing budget to speak of, to be sold to a large, international concern.
In a market defined by two more established industry leaders, through my writing and communications we were able to stand out and rise above the crowd, with a unique look, feel and vocabulary that were well ahead of the pack.
Creating all communications, from email blasts to advertising campaigns, newsletters and their website, I worked with Salient Stills for 7 years, from its early days through to its final days before its eventual sale. During that time, the company grew in reputation and audience, finally establishing itself as the most innovative resource for forensic video editing in the marketplace.
